Nineteen actives, every dose printed
A synergistic combination in one capsule, taken once a day. This is the complete list exactly as submitted to Health Canada.
The amounts
No proprietary blends, and no amounts hidden behind a trademark. If it is in the capsule, the dose is on this page.
Non-medicinal ingredients
Silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, cellulose, hypromellose. The capsule shell is hypromellose, a vegetable cellulose.
How the formula is built
Six things that are true of every capsule, and that most people in this category have to ask about.
Reading a supplement label in Canada
What an NPN means
A Natural Product Number is issued by Health Canada after it reviews a product's ingredients, doses, claims and safety evidence. Any natural health product sold legally in Canada carries one, and you can look it up yourself in the Licensed Natural Health Products Database.
Medicinal versus non-medicinal
Medicinal ingredients are the actives, listed with an exact amount per capsule. Non-medicinal ingredients are everything else: the capsule shell, flow agents and fillers. Both lists have to appear on the label.
What the claim actually says
The claim Health Canada reviewed for Tryfecta is that it helps support healthy hair, skin and nails. We do not make claims beyond that one, and no honest brand in this category should.
One capsule, once a day
Sixty vegetable capsules in every bottle, a two month supply.
